Dr. Holly Peters PT, DPT

Holly Peters earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Boston University in 2013 as part of an accelerated six-year program, culminating in her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2015. She went on to complete a neurologic physical therapy residency through Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas and became a Board-Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (NCS).

Dr. Peters is highly specialized in the treatment of acquired brain injuries — both traumatic and non-traumatic — including stroke, traumatic brain injury, anoxia/hypoxia, seizure, tumor, and metabolic encephalopathy. Over the course of her career, she has worked across the full continuum of care: from neuro-trauma ICUs and inpatient rehabilitation to day neuro programs, outpatient clinics, concierge private-pay practices, and in-home/community care. This breadth of experience gives her a unique perspective on recovery at every stage. She has completed multiple advanced certifications and trainings, with a clinical emphasis on restoring normal movement through hands-on, facilitation-based techniques.

Originally from Massachusetts, Holly’s early ballet training sparked her lifelong interest in human movement and the body’s potential for recovery and performance. She now lives in North Dallas with her husband and their black lab and enjoys Pilates, the Boston Celtics, and dessert.

Our Services

Refined Therapeutics provides fully mobile, highly individualized neurologic physical therapy. My focus is on restoring natural movement after brain injury, rather than relying on compensatory techniques.

Unlike traditional clinics, my concierge model gives you:

  • Direct access and seamless communication

  • Longer, one-on-one sessions

  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends

After your complimentary consultation, we’ll create a tailored program that fits your goals, lifestyle, and environment.

In-Home Sessions

I provide private treatment sessions in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This option is ideal for patients who value convenience, a familiar environment, and individualized attention without the need to travel to a clinic.

Community & Functional Sessions

Therapy doesn’t stop at the door. I also provide sessions in community settings such as gyms, parks, grocery stores, or workplaces. This real-world training helps you carry over progress into daily life, rebuild confidence, and practice skills where you need them most.

Travel Sessions

For patients who are frequently on-the-go, I offer continuity of care while traveling. Whether you are away on business, vacation, or an extended stay, I bring specialized treatment sessions to you location to ensure your progress never pauses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor’s referral to see you?
In Texas, most patients can begin physical therapy directly without a physician referral. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced neurologic training, I am able to evaluate and treat you right away.

Do you accept insurance?
I am a fully private, cash-based practice and do not contract with insurance companies. This allows me to provide longer, one-on-one sessions without the restrictions of insurance. Upon request, I can provide you with a detailed receipt (“superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

What are your rates?
Session rates typically range depending on location, individual needs, and personal goals. The hourly rate will be determined after the initial complimentary consultation.

How long are the sessions?
Most sessions are 2-3 hours, depending on your needs. Longer sessions allow for deeper neuromuscular retraining, advanced practice, and caregiver education without feeling rushed.

Do you bring equipment?
Yes. I bring portable therapy tools and will also teach you how to use items you already have at home to maximize carryover between sessions.
